Biography
Arlen Bento Jr. has taught golf on the Treasure Coast since 1996. He is the former head golf professional at PGA Country Club in PGA Village and the director of golf at Eagle Marsh Golf Club in Jensen Beach. He specializes in player development, junior golf training and college golf recruiting for high school players.
Arlen is recognized as one of the Top 100 Golf Instructors in the world by the World Golf Teachers Federation and is an award-winning golf coach and expert club fitter. He is the creator of “Shoot Par Now,” a golf learning system that offers an online learning app for game improvement. Arlen also is an accomplished golf writer and contributor to many golf specific publications, including Teaching Pro Magazine.
Arlen started his golf career in Hawaii after graduating from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He left Hawaii in 1994 in an attempt to qualify for the PGA Tour.
